Sidharth Malhotra's Mission Majnu Lands In Trouble? Internet Expresses Rage Over Pakistanis 'Clichéd' Representation In Film: ‘Bollywood Needs To Do A Better Job’!
Sidharth Malhotra has been making it to the headlines for his upcoming film, Mission Majnu and the film will soon hit the theatres. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers have unveiled the trailer of the film on Tuesday and it features his character portrayed as a RAW agent who is on a mission to stop Pakistan from secretly making nuclear bombs.

In an attempt to stop the neighbouring nation, he marries a Pakistani woman - Radhika Mandanna. Unfortunately, the trailer did not appeal the Pakistani audience owing to the clichéd depiction of the nation in Bollywood films, which ranges from gestures, language, and attire to an ideology pitting India against Pakistan, as reported by IndiaTV News.

Many took to twitter and expressed their reservations about the features that have developed into detrimental stereotypes.

Shortly after Sidharth shared the trailer of his film on his social media handle, many bombarded the trailer with comments. Pakistanis stood against their repeated clichéd depiction representation in Bollywood films.

One user wrote, "Stop Making these Nonsense Movies about Pakistan. That Fake Aadab, Topi , Surmay wali aankhen and idiotic Story lines.. Bas kardo Bas." Another user wrote, "Typical Adaab, Janab, wearing namaz cap and surma. C'mon no one do this here, Bollywood needs to do a better job."
